Happy, fun lady!

2016 was a year of huge change for me - but actually mostly for the best. I am a mum of a fabulous 9 year old, and have some great friends but some how seem to have not met that special some one - and it has been a while...I got divorced over 5 years ago now...but life has been busy and hectic. I was made redundant from the city in 2015 and so have been taking some time out for travelling and enjoying festivals such as the Edinburgh fringe festival (brilliant - I've been every year for the last 20...so clearly originally a child visitor), San Francisco and Hawaii - which was definitely the trip of a lifetime as well as Cuba. I decided my new year's resolution for 2017 was to focus a little on my love life - so here goes.

I love dancing - especially Latino but any kind and use it to keep me fit and happy :). Salsa, Ballroom, Tango, Tap Zumba and Swing...will give them all a go but equally just as happy shaking my booty to anything from 1940s thru to 2017...I finally made it to Glastonbury for the first time in 2014 - Dolly Parton was a hoot!..& went again in 2016...Christine and the Queens in the rain - fantastic! As well as a loads of Bowie and Prince tribute gigs sadly over the last few months.

I really enjoy cinema and pretty much all film genres as well as comedy, live music gigs, theatre, musicals & cabaret. I love cooking for my friends and family and hosting dinner parties as well as occasionally eating out at interesting new places :). I would like to read more books and wished I were better at social media and IT.

I'm 5ft4, quite slim but cuddly, kind, quite clever (have an MSC in stats and economics thou it is a really long time since I actually used any of it) but often have to rely on the spell check when writing...and sometimes even the spell check can't work it out ekk. I'm currently helping out with some mentoring /teaching maths whilst plotting the next chapter in my life.

I'm hoping to meet someone who is interesting, kind and likes some of the things that I do - but also happy to share new stuff?... I do like walking, hiking, travel, BBC 4 documentaries, political satire, cycling on the complete flat and skiing blues and greens in perfect conditions.
