This is a first for me so deep breath and here goes.... I have a great family and some great friends but would like to perhaps make some new friends and in particular find that special guy. I enjoy travelling and experiencing different countries and their cultures (although I am also partial to just crashing out on a beach with a good book and a cocktail)! I also like art, theatre/cinema, good restaurants, wine bars and walking in the countryside (without dogs though)! And okay, the occasional clubbing night - purely because I love to dance. My friends describe me as kind, considerate, generous, understanding and great fun to be with so I guess that's who I am. I would like to meet someone with some similar interests, who has a reasonable touch of romance about them and has a fab sense of humour. I am pretty young at heart so fun is important. I like to laugh alot!

Occupation:

I have been working in Financial Services for the last 3 and a half years so I have experienced the whole meltdown period!

Education:

I completed a business course which enabled me to progress in my career in spectacular fashion. However, I only changed direction into Financial Services over 3 years ago - excellent timing!

Heritage:

I was born in Gibraltar and came to England when I was six years old. Gib as a British Colony and right next to Spain, is a tiny but interesting place.

Religion:

I am catholic by birth but I never did the whole holy communion/confirmation thing - unlike my saintly brothers - my Grandmother - bless her - was mortified.

Politics:

I think politics can be really crazy but I believe in taking an interest and keeping up to speed with it all - and so I do.

Appearance:

Er? Gosh! I could really sell myself here - I look like Elle McPhearson...... or not! I tend to make an effort because it makes me feel good.

Languages Spoken:

Spanish - My mother is a beautiful Spanish woman who prefers to speak Spanish.... so I speak Spanish to her and I speak English to my father.

Musical Instruments played:

The only instrument I could play (badly) was the recorder! I really wanted to play the guitar - in manner of total hot rock chick but I was helplessly useless! Oddly, most of my family are incredibly musically talented - the whole orchestra avenue!

Music Enjoyed:

I really like all sorts of music - when I was growing up I was really into Blondie, then I got into Jazz Funk/Soul - I really like what's out there today but obviously the 70's & 80's were great - albeit incredibly uncool and cheesey!

Sports and exercise:

I used to be a gym and swimming fanatic but the gym machines have become way too complicated and the chlorine levels in the swimming pool - I am sure are illegal! I go when I can, I park my car 100 miles away from the office and I always use the stairs not the lift -and that's 35 floors up so I am pretty fit!

Interests and activities:

I love to travel and have done so pretty extensively in the past so I am hoping to resume this area if, (I mean when), I meet the right person. Love theatre - especially musicals - seen Phantom about 10 times! I like the cinema too and eating out, art (especially adore Italy for this) and walking in the countryside - finding a cute country pub and reading the Sunday papers by a roaring fireplace.

Animals and Pets:

I don't have any pets - I do like animals but I am scared of dogs due to one chasing me in a park as a child which led to me running in front of a swing that knocked me down. The dog didn't even hang around to see if I was okay!!

Newspapers and magazines:

Daily Mail, The Sunday Times, The Radio Times. Not keen on all those celeb magazines with all those orange twiglets in them!

Books:

All books by Adele Parks (very girly), Martina Cole and Jeffrey Archer. I also read alot of autobiographies. I really like reading about peoples lives - Laurence Olivia, Bette Davis and Russell Brand have been among the best. The last book I read was by Geraint Anderson 'Cityboy - Beer and Loathing in the Square Mile' - interesting read!

Favourite Films:

All About Eve, Mildred Pearce (anything with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford). Cape Fear, Goodfellas (anything with Robert DeNiro). The Talented Mr Ripley - albeit the ending is really annoying! Generally just absolutely heaps of films that I have enjoyed. Love the cinema.

Enjoyable evening out:

Just a relaxing evening would be Theatre or cinema, wine bar and meal.

Favourite Dishes:

I love fish and chicken in the main - not a huge red meat eater though. I do enjoy trying different dishes but believe it or not I am not keen on desserts. That said, I love cheese!

Ideal Holiday:

I would love to go back to the Caribbean sailing around on a catamaran with all that reggae music and rum punch. Alternatively, go to Italy (again) as I especially love all the history, culture and art it has to offer plus, the beautiful scenery of the lakes and countryside - perfect.

In another life:

Hate this question .... no one in particular but as a child I wanted to act and I was in awe of Doris Day in the film 'By the light of the Silvery Moon'... Yuk!

Personality:
