Warm, witty and wise woman who used to live in the South of France and loved it until reality called and reluctantly moved back to London. One day I would love to go back there and find my place in the sun so seeking someone able to join me on this adventure. I am definitely a glass half full sort of person (preferably of a good rose) and an incurable romantic who avoids cliches like the plague and adores feel good movies, rainbows and the warm n fuzzy feeling of loving and being loved. Old fashioned values are important to me and I'm not interested in control freaks or those into mind games. If you like reality TV (big fat X factor in Essex) we're pretty unlikely to get on but if you find the sharp one-liners of the Big Bang Theory very funny that's a good start!

As the child of author parents I love words and use apostrophes with aplomb.

Occupation:

Until recently worked in an IT college then for EDF on the trading floor. Most of my jobs have involved French in some way. I took voluntary redundancy end Oct and am now doing several volunteering roles. I plan to spend 3 months in Spain from Sept so would love it if someone came with me.

Education:

Languages degree - French and German translation option. I loved my time at Central London Poly, especially the third year spent abroad.

Heritage:

Actually a bit of a mixture as my mother was half American and half Italian. My great great grammy crossed the US of A in a covered wagon. Why she didn't take the Greyhound bus like everyone else I'll never know!

aerobics, table tennis, My favourite is the water aerobics class which I try not to miss. Would love to play table tennis again - haven't done that for years. Try to get to the gym once a week.

Theatre, meal, salsa evening, cinema.

chicken tikka, Spaghetti alle Vongole, I like most cuisines, but not too keen on sushi.

Ideal Holiday:

lying on a beach in the Caribbean, driving slowly round Ireland, learning to paint in Provence, safari - have done Kruger and it was amazing - would love to go back.

In another life:

a dolphin, Hmm not so easy this one ... I guess I wouldn't mind being a super model just for a day.
