One of the pitfalls of online dating is that one has to judge a person based on a few photographs and a couple of sentences. Whereas, the real person with all his/her complexities and idiosyncrasies , often takes time to unravel. Anyway, here goes my attempt at a honest, sincere and unpretentious profile:

I am a well employed professional ( doctor with the NHS). Originally from India, I have worked abroad for several years and am now settled in UK.

I am warm, sensitive and caring. I am a good listener, a loyal friend, an interesting conversationalist, a voracious reader, an avid solver of crosswords and trvia quizzes, a good drinking companion,an incurable romantic and a keen observer of human nature .

I am cosmopolitan and like learning about new cultures. I am broad minded and secular and believe in humanist principles.

I have recently moved to London from East Anglia and am re-discovering all that this great city has to offer.. Museums, parks, great dining venues, theatre shows.. what an amazing variety! The only thing that seems to be missing is a partner to go out with :)

I am not a frequent party-goer and I prefer the intimate company of an intelligent lady rather than a racuous night out.

Although I am not an outdoor/sportsy person, I try to to get to the gym 3-4 times per week.

I like reading , intelligent discussions, dining out and watching flims on DVD which entertain and make you think at the same time. Recently have developed a flair for the theatre and am now a regular visitor to the West End.

I like cooking ( yes!) and like experimenting with Indian dishes.

I have travelled a bit and would love to do more of the same.

Politically, I would say I am left-liberal , if you want a label.

I believe in absolute loyalty and dedication to those whom I like.

Do looks matter? Maybe , to some extent. I am not vain or foolish to claim that I am " tall,dark and handsome". You can judge from the pictures.
In a potential partner, I would put intelligence, personality and attitudes way above looks as a deciding factor.
